I'd just go ahead and get a softer compound tire, because a hard compound tire will allow wheelspin/slip, which causes more wear than grabbin and going.

oh ok... yea I looked at those aluminum rims and premounted tires... its a harder compound... so I'm just gonna say forget those and go with yokomo or something... and do foam tires grip good ?... like touring tires ?

Foam tires are crap for just playing. they're great if you're racing on a prepared paved surface or carpet, but if you're not racing, I wouldn't waste my money. They don't last long, they require maintenance (i.e. bag them up and clean them) and they need to be trued every so often.
you'll be far happier with a set of treaded medium compound tires than a set of foams.

That's what I've run on all my nitro TC's. good sticky rubber that lasts.
if you do a lotta donuts, though, those nylon belts will wear right through the tread:P
Try these. I hate gluing sedan tires:P

the D compounds will actually do better than the Pro compound (traction-wise) when putzin about in the street because the pro compounds are actually STICKY when you touch 'em, and they gather dirt.
I meant to post the link for the D compounds when i first posted a tire link, but I didn't realize they were Pro compounds until just now.

its cool dude. I got them saved and everything.... so I'll get them once the treads fall off my old tires.
