Default 1/8 buggy wheels on a 1/10 buggy?

Can you use 1/8 buggy wheels and tires on a 1/10 Buggy? I have a Tornado XP, and I want to use the wheels/tires made for a Hurricane, or aftermarket wheels for a 1/8 buggy, on my Tornado...will it work?

As it sits....NO....the hubs/spindles are completely different...

Not sure if there are other hubs/spindles from different makes that will fit both the car and the wheels or not....but as for a direct swap from the Hurricane to the Tornado they will not work.

The best thing you could do would be to take one of your Tornado wheels in to your LHS and do some comparison to see if you can match something up.

On your 1/10 you can put tyres and rims from a 1/10 stadium truck (2.2" rims & tyres)
They have the same axle size hole and same size hex nut.

I put Porline Dirt Hawks and HPI 2.2 deep dish rims on my 1/10 buggy. A little slower top end but it goes places it never use to. Higher ride height and the tyres protrude slightle forward of the front bumper.

You do need to trim the front of the buggy body or the wheels will rub when you turn.
