Hey guy do you offer free clutch springs?Cause to tell you the truth i'm tired of replacing mine every other freaking day.
I have already replaced mine 4 times. The last time this past friday. Here it is sunday and its broke again.I mean really,is this.
the best you have to offer?I have bought the clutch spring from different redcat dealers.Do you have a better spring?or something that will work in its place?I need just the spring,I dont need any more freaking clutch shoes,I have 4 sets now that are doing me NO GOOD!!!!I dont even run my volcano's hard at all. Some support on this issue would be great.Just check your records on what I have done spent, and then tell me if I have reason to be mad.The oders are under the name Shannon Taylor in Madison Heights VA.

I actually went to the brick & mortor store and had to buy the spring and shoes (7.95) with an extra tight spring.
I would "guess" this is the same.
I'll post the P/N from the assembly I bought that worked perfect.

Hey i'm not complaining.I have an investment in these trucks.I'm not putting the redcat staff as the blame.I'm voicing my opinion on
something that I PAYED FOR.So think its complaining all you want I dont care.I just wanted people to know. That some things in those trucks.just dont work.I also know that things will break, and I dont have a problem with that.I just want to enjoy this hobby, but how
can you when the same things just keep breaking.

Chopper,
this sumbol is a grin. I wasn't being mean. As I stated above you can get the replacement spring above or a heavy duty spring from the store for 7.95. Just pull your motor and clutch and take it to your LHS and they will match you up with the same or stronger spring.

Now quit complaining

Humor above....

I guess I don't understand all this...I've run my truck quite hard and haven't lost a clutch spring YET...

Odd isn't it?

My clutch is binding, and I've only begun breaking the engine in. The truck rolls freely then just binds up and stops. The racers who were around said it was the clutch. Darn, was looking forward to my next post here being a woohoo or something. lol

OK, woohooo!! It IS the clutch spring! Didn't think I'd be breaking down this thing SO soon, but it's quite easy and thankfully a spring is ez nuff

The piston does seem to pull the cylinder up when its at top dead center. Is this normal for the cylinder to actually move up when the heat sink is off and it's TDC?

Mine actually siezed up when I first started it. I had to take the head off and hold the cylinder in with my fingers and pull the starter. After it loosened up a little I put the head on and got it started. Seems to fine now.
