i believe that all you need is the motor, cause if i remember correctly the os .18 cr-vx will bolt right in!! this is what i am doing to my himoto syclone(redcat's tornados cousin). im pulling out the vx.18 thats in it now and gonna drop in that os engine......

i would definitly think about gettin a nice header pipe and tune exhaust pipe for it. cause the stock exhaust is kinda restrictive.. hpi make a nice header pipe for it.. or you can go with a Tsais complete exhaust system for it.

heres the link to tsais http://tsais.com/products/exhaust/tu.../10/E1018.html
your gonna want to get the E1018H pipe for it or the E1018K

yeah you can piece together an exhaust system too i was just throwing ideas out lol!!!

but look into the hpi header pipe its only 13 bucks or so, and you can still use your stock muffler with it...

you can try using you stock one, if it doesnt work out the it will fit right on the header then go with those couplers you dont have to use pink, they do make others couplers in different colors those are the ones that i have used..

hey no prob. if you need anything else email me at [email protected]

oh if you want get the rotostart backplate so you can drop your pullstart. the hpi rotostart package should work its part#87120 that should work but you may want to double check or call tower hobbies.

Hey, sorry I didnt get back to you sooner, but BlackDog pretty much summed it all up. The only thing that I did was chamfer the motor mounts so that they would sit better on the motor itself, it probably was not necessary, but I figured i might as well do it. As far as the pipe goes, look on ebay you should be able to find one for cheaper than you can get it at an online hobby store. Hope this helps, and good luck!!

Just simply grind or sand off the top inside edge(the edge close to the engine block)of the motor mount so that it don't hit the engine. It may not be necessary for you to do that though, but my mounts didn't seem to sit flush to the engine so I did it. If you do have to do it though, it's easy because the mounts are aluminum, and are soft, I used a Dremel, but you could probably use 80 grit sandpaper. There is a picture in the manual, I'll see it I can scan a decent picture of it. Here you go, hope this helps.
