Default Wrecks..Carnage and all that good stuff!

Even though I already posted this in the 1/8th buggy thread I felt good stuff like this deserves it's own thread...LOL!

So...post your wrecks and aftermath pics and/or vids here...lets have some fun with our downtime!

Heres MY best one....so FAR anyways!

Lets talk about mail box posts shall we??

The equation is....40 MPH + cutting it too close to a mailbox post = MAJOR WRECK!

O.K...so...here it is a nice evening and a couple of buddies who are interested in getting these buggies wanted to see mine run with the big tires on it...

So there I was cookin down the road next to my shop showing off for my buddies and my Truggy was coming towards me..so of course I suffered temporary steering dislexia and instead of steering AWAY from the mailbox post at the end of the the driveway to my shop I briefly and ever so slightly adjusted the WRONG direction...when I corrected it was too late...due to the sand on the side of the road the rear of the Truggy slid a bit sideways and JUST enough to catch the post with the back wheel and WHAM!

I wish like HELL this would have been on video as it LOOKED REALLY COOL!!...the ENTIRE right rear suspension went flying one direction and the Truggy spun around really fast 4 or 5 times...it was definitely a video moment!

You should have seen my buddies faces.....truly classic I tell ya....LOL!

Yep...that happened about 15 minutes after we got off the phone...LOL!

I was hoping the body came out unscathed but after closer examination it did put a crack in it so I may be ordering another one here soon bubba.

Unfortunately this doesn't exactly follow the subject but here it goes-

Those of you who read about my jump adventure also noticed the list of replacement parts i ordered.
Well bad news...After a closer inspection of the buggy it turns out ABSOLUTELY NOTHING HAS BROKEN!!

The only replacement part I REQUIRE is a rear axel holder. One axel shot out after the holder broke off causing me to think the differential broke. The shocks were NOT bent, just the aluminum back plates that hold them causing some binding.

I have ordered some replacement parts as a precaution for teh Osama Bin Ratten jump coming up next week.

However, after reviewing the sturdyness of the buggy I am now irratated it didn't break. Therefore I feel I must mount rocket thrusters to the sides with a trigger mechanism from the throttle. If all goes well (test jump Saturday) I should be able to go between 40 and 70' in the air and it had better break something or I am sending it back and buying a more expensive buggy with a smaller motor made in the USA with lots of expensive aluminum parts.
