yeah the mt2 part are called steering kunckles and c-hubs (door mounts). these are good nitros but they do have there own set of problems, but i know that redcatracingparts.com are going to be stocking the mt2 steering arms here soon, and the spacers needed to make them fit cause the mt2 one are a bit smaller

hey guys. I've had compter troubles lately so I havn't been online much. Back though.

Here's the deal. The only thing needed to make these suckers work is a spacer (washer) on the door type mount. I do not have these on my site yet. I have limited quantities and the colors are purple. We have blue on the way as I type. I sent out a set to Redcat Racing themselves and their thinking about stocking them.

I will have them on my site by friday. Anyone that wants to jump the gun just shoot me an email at [email protected]

Price is $17.49 per set. $5 flat rate shipping for any amount of items.

Stormy, will you have to use different bearings also?

On the "Official Truck Thread, " stewtheman posted that the MT2 parts are a bit smaller and had to buy bearings.

see here: http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_37...66/key_/tm.htm

From what I've read on here you can supposedly use TRAXXAS clutch springs in place of the REDCAT springs. They last longer and are of better quality.

What about the clutch shoes? I picked up the Traxxas #4146 shoes/springs when I was down getting some gas (no trinity %20 so I just went with some Traxxas %20)... Will the shoes work with this engine/setup or is it best to use the stock shoes?

So Stormy, do you have an answer to my question?

Will we need to buy bearings to get the steering kunckles from the MT2 to work?

hey mark i just spoke with stormy tonight and he is in the process of updating the site and things i'll ask him again about the bearings, but i do believe that someone on here did the whole steering mt2 arms and he had to get new bearing that would fit.

Sorry Mark. Been busy lately.

For the record:

Stock bearings will work but not recommended. 02138 works fine. The outside bearings for the MT2 are larger. There in a smaller hole in the center of the steering arms that 02139 will fit into. I have not got to test it yet but I will in the next few days. Sorry I've been very very busy with my other business.

The reason I ask is I've been working on a direct fit replacement for these.
Same size as original, not smaller, no mods, no drilling, no other bearings. Same screws should work too.

I will contact Darin to see if Redcat is interested and let you other dealers know as well.

Good luck. I tried the same and had no luck.

I sent a set of MT2s out to Darin and he seems interested. He should be able to find a way to get cheap bearings or find something to make 02014 and 02015 aluminum without mods.

But really, there isnt any modding with the MT2 parts. Just as long as the bearings work there will be no modifications needed at all.

I just went to redcatracingparts.com and in their 1/10 truck parts they do not say what model they are for. All so are there alloy parts cast or billet or just stock replacement? I am looking for billet knuckles for my HPI MT2.
Thanks

The listed alloys are genuine Redcat Racing replacements.

For what vehicle HPI MT2 or what it does not say on their web site what it fits. Or is it just for there vehicles? I need MT2 knuckles and I do not want to run cast like most sell.
Thanks
