My 1/10 buggy is a single speed and it's just not fast enough. I did some test jumps before I do the "passenger" jump. and I can't even clear my baby Magnolia tree. It's only 16' high and I'm not making more than 12'. I will post a video tonight.

I need to know how to install a two speed or modify the single speed for the high gear only. I'm willing to saccrifice acceleration for top end. I did an official road test actually following it in my SUV and the top end was 27.

I really need you guys help here...

You could go with a clutch bell with a couple of more teeth on it.

I would love to hear from any dealer or redcat who has a matching single speed clutch bell with more than 16 teeth. As of now no one has owned up to stocking them.


Plan B is a smaller drive gear or convert to the 2 speed. If anyone has list of PN I'll be happy to PayPal a payment...

I think you need to strap that D rocket engine right behind Mickeys drivers seat.

I found an HPI single speed clutch bell with 19 teeth, bearings are a direct fit and dims are the same. The teeth are slightly different but since there meshing with a plastic gear i should be OK. The tree should be cleared this weekend!!

Top end way up! I cleared the magnolia!! However it was a test jump before filming and I broke the front mount that holds the wheel hub. I think you guys call it a door mount. Hopefully Clermont Motor sports has 1 in stock and I'll be filming again this week.
