1/10 Buggy Compatible Parts
Hey guys, I thought that maybe if we started a post on what parts off of other brands fit our cars it may be some what helpful. Please refrain from making this a question and answer thread. Lets just keep it plain and simple. If you know of any part that works on the buggy list the part, part number, and if applicable what modifications are needed to make it work. Thanks.

RE: 1/10 Buggy Compatible Parts
Alright well with this one I got a little creative but I did end up saving myself a few bucks. I accidentally forgot my body pins at the local track and I didn't feel like going back because by the time I realized they were missing it wasn't worth going back. I was checking out how much replacements were and they run about 5 bucks for a bag of them. Well being the cheap guy that I am[sm=greedy.gif], I decided to take a trip to good old Wal-mart and tried looking for something else that may work. Well what I ended up finding were some cotter pins that cost all of 80 something cents. With a couple well placed bends these things worked perfectly. Here are some pictures so you all can marvel at my engineering prowess. [sm=pirate.gif]
In the first one you can see what the original pin looked like, the modified cotter pin, and the original cotter pin. I'm quite proud.

Traxxas nitro rustler wheels fit. I have a friend who has one and we tried his rims/wheels on the buggy and it fit with no problems plus with the much larger wheels gives it more clearance which was a problem for me. I will be getting these wheels/rims and will let you know how they work out.

any 2.2 wheels will work, excep for one thing that i noticed, some times the center of some wheels will rub on the suspention arms when turning, but u can usualy avoid that by getting wheels that have the center design out tward the front of the wheel

HPI clutchbells will work im pretty sure, traxxas shoes will work, (thats what i used for a while when the stock one broke) except they tend to engage a little late causing the motor to run a little hotter so i wouldnt recomend useing them in hot weather

Yes,
I went to a 19 tooth hpi and definently raised the top end. I would suggest first to port & polish the header for more speed. There is a risk of tearing up the plastic drive gear...
