Today my Volcano went in reverse.It wasent the first time.I had to turn it off,then restart
Even though it wont stay in reverse,why would this happen?

How is it even happening?I held it up in the air and the wheels would move backwards.

Has this happened to anyone else?Is it a glitch somewhere?

hmmmmmmmm, maybe you have the new style truck with reverse<-----------NOT!!!!

I dont know, the gears and engine only turn one way unless your engine is stalling out and restarting backwards???? I have seen it happen with nitro plane engines.

Hey i'm not blind I saw what I saw.All because You didnt see it.

Does not mean it didnt happen.Thats the same as

If a tree falls in the woods and no one is around to see it,does it make a sound.

I simply posted what happened and wanted a simple answer,if one is out there.

P.S. its not a plane

I'm not %100 sure but does your truck have a one way bearing in the spur gear like my XP? I installed it backwards and the gear would spin when trying to go forward but the tires wouldnt move. However it would grab in reverse... Maybe it needs oiling? Hopefully someone can chime in if that doesnt work.

By the way,I never said I drove it in reverse.The wheels would spin in reverse when I held
it off the ground.

It never once stalled out,I cut it off when it did what it did.

Its that plain and simple,no Harry Potter magic tricks.

No new style of Volcano with reverse with no beam me aboard button.

Just the one that alot of you have.

Nitrosteve22..Its working fine now,it only did it for a second or two.Far as the bearing goes,I have no clue.

Maybe thats the problem, I have no clue....I just know the tires did spin backwards.

I'm sure its no cause for alot of concern.I dont think I have to worry about it doing it,while
i'm driving it.

The other times it did it was for a second or 2 as well.Ive had mine since January
and its only happened a couple of times.The other Volcano hasent done that.

chopper you should calm down, it was a joke, also i gave you a probable answer, if an airplane engine can run backwards, why not a nitro car engine???? you also stated in your original post that and i quote"Today my Volcano went in reverse.It wasent the first time.I had to turn it off,then restart Even though it wont stay in reverse,why would this happen?" to me you mean your volcano went in reverse even though later you stated quote "By the way,I never said I drove it in reverse". A nitro engine does not have to completely stall to run in reverse.

Ehroof i'm calm guy,was just returning the joke.Anyways thought I would have some fun with the reply's.

Its nice to turn the heat up some and have some laughs.All work and no play

On a serious note I just know for a second or 2 the wheels would spin backwards

i honestly could not see how if the tires are spinning foreward how it or they could spin in the opposite direction without a reverse gear, did it kinda jump or juggle when the tires changed direction? sound different? There is no one way bearing in a single speed car.

This is how it happened.I had it on the ground,started it up and it jerked backwards just a tad.
Then I picked it up and the tires was moving backwards,not fast,but was spinning somewhat.

So I turned it off so no damage would be caused to it,if it already hadent.
I looked everything over and all looked to be fine,Started it back up and it
was running the correct way then.I cant explain how it happened,I just know it
happened.

The other times was the exact way,started and it jerked backwards.
When I say jerked,I mean just a little jerk.I didnt keep it on long enough
to see what it was trying to do,for I feared it was messing something up.
Its running just fine now.I know it sounds weird,maybe even unbelieveable.

All the same it happened,and I was just asking if anyone has had this happen to
them,and why?

I think the engine was running backwards, its possible, it really happens on nitro plane engines, usually on start up. you can usually tell to because the engine sounds a little funny.

If thats the case how do I correct it,or can I even?I hope that doesent mean my engine is bad.
It run's like a bat out of hell.Could the electronic's cause that in any way?

i wouldnt think its a problem, i think it usually happens to planes because of a little hydro lock(flooded engine) and it kinda kicks back and the engine starts backwards, maybe the same with the truck. usually it gets hard to pull, maybe it kicks back, Just a suggestion

I think u may be right,cause it was a little flooded.It was hard to pull then it started and did that.

I have enough time driving in forward..lol..so I dont need the extra challange.
I could only dream of the things I would break lol....

it happened to me too today. my volcano actually moved backwords. I released the trigger and when I steped on it again it kinda stalled for a fraction of a second and then sped of as it would normally. ehroof's descriptions about the planes fit what happened to me too I guess. should I raise the idle maybe? or just leave it like that?
