Default Great Aftermarket Parts Found!

Clutch Bell: http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXLST7&P=M
Clutch Shoes: http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXTT54&P=7

Yes we new about the shoes but thanks to shadymarkny as he tested the Clutch bell from HPI.

I found something we can use. It is the HPI racing clutch bell. They are a little more money but I think its worth it in long run. Plus I look at it as an upgrade part too because it makes the truck fast on take off. I installed the 15T one and NO MODs needed. You use the same bearings too.. I think its going to last longer then the stock ones http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXLST8&P=ML

Would we be able to use the same 35 tooth plastic spur gear from Redcat with this 15 tooth HPI clutch bell? The clutch bell tooth count from Redcat is 17. What about composite problems such as the material the HPI gear is made from and the material the Redcat gears are made from? Will they wind up tearing each other up?

I ordered this one for my syclone [link=http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0095p?FVSEARCH=LXJF70+&FVPROFIL=++&search3=Go]http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0095p?FVSEARCH=LXJF70 &FVPROFIL= &search3=Go[/link] it is the one they use for the volcano... which uses the same clutch as the tornado.. so it should work? right?

hey i tried these clutch shoes and they dont work very well!! those shoes are too small for these cars and the performance will go down consideribly. they cause more strain on the engine and the rc's do not speed up as fast and the shoes cause to much heat build up on the clutch bell. your almost better off going to your lhs and having them match up your stock ones!!!!!

i will definatley do that also found out that you can pretty much create your own bell using different gears located here about half way down so you can maximize low and top end speed check it out i really hope it works

FROM THE HAWG

LOOK UNDER MORE STRIPED GEARS IN THIS FORUM. I HAVE A DURATRAX SET UP WITH STEEL GEARS AND IT WORKS GREAT FOR TWO SPEED.

I had Fun Hawgs set up and it works grood. I screwed up my bearings though and went back to the Redcat bell. If you shim out your bearings , I shimmed out my front bearing on the stock XP bell and am having no more problems with that one. About a half gallon of fuel and the gears look like new.
