motor parts for redcat needed
HEY, DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE TO BUY PARTS FOR THE .16 AND .18 MOTORS. I NEED A BACK PLATE, THROTTLE LEVER ON THE CARB,REBUILD PARTS ETC. I CANT SEE BUYING A WHOLE MOTOR WHEN THEY CAN BE REPAIRED. THANKS, TOM

i imagine bu the time you will find parts and go throu the hassle of fixing the motor it will be just as quick to get a new one

But they whole motor is only like 85 or so dollars I dont think you could get parts for any cheaper than that. have you checked out www.clermontmotorsports.com if you can get parts for them he would have them and his service is awsome.

Hey man I'm in the same boat, getting parts for these motors is pretty much impossible. If you do find them they're probably too costly to be reasonable. That isn't redcat specific either, for the most part finding cheap parts for any nitro motor is a lost cause.

all i need is the throttle lever for one motor and a back plate for the other. both motors have only a few hours on them. i cant even find the name brand of these motors. or parts that will interchange

You might be able to find parts if its a Japanese Team Infinity (says on crankcase) but I wouldnt bet on it,if its one of the Taiwanese (vertex/vx) engines you can forget about it.

WOULDN'T YOU NO IT, THE BLOCK HAS VX-16, SO I GUESS THERE DISPOSABLE. ANYONE GOT ANY OLD ONES THEY WANT TO GET RID OFF LET ME KNOW THESE I GOT ARE BRAND NEW . THANKS TOM

Yeah you can fit pretty much any .12-.15-.18 out there provided it has a standard threaded crankshaft. A decent O.S will run ya only a few bucks more with more readily available parts...
