RE: What do YOU want for your Redcat Racing RC car?
it's the ST12R in a Team Losi XXX-NT Adam Drake 2. this is easily the most powerful engine i've ever run in a 1/10 2wd gas truck...too much power
good thing I have control over my throttle finger is all i can say

That's cool. I was wondering about the STS engines were going to carrying some from TST after the begining of the year. Man I wish we carried Team Losi parts, I would say we would sponsor you with parts for your truck, but we don't so we can't. That truck is a sweet truck though. Good luck Hope you win some.

RE: What do YOU want for your Redcat Racing RC car?
no, but a .12 is all that's legal in 2wd gas truck. the ST12R is a lot more tractable in a 2wd truck than that 18CV-R will ever be, but still nowhere near the power. the .18CV-R is making almost as much horsepower as an OS .21RG
I had an .18CV-R for a short time, and it was fun, but it now resides in Jacob's Tornado XP. that sucker is FAST
All, thanks for the thought I really haven't broken much on the truck though-and I break everything, so that says a LOT for the truck. there's a year-round indoor track a couple hours from here. I hope I win too, but I've still gotta work on my driving skills. Practice, practice, practice is what it comes down to!
BTW, do you deal directly with Tamiya? if so, I'm gonna have to get a list of part numbers and get you to order some stuff for me

RE: What do YOU want for your Redcat Racing RC car?
LOL, no I don't deal directaly with them, we use Hobbytyme distribution because they support the little guy better than those #&*($@#(&(*#$&@( over at Great Planes and all there umbrella companies, that's why we don't carry Team Losi, mugen, Kyosho and some others. Basically we refuse to do buisiness with them because they sell to our customers and undercut everyone and expect us to buy from them too, Hobytyme doesn't do that but were somewhat limited in what we can buy, I can check and see if we can get parts for the tamyia cars, we usually only sell the cars and then direct people where to buy parts. We can sell the cars for alot lower price than most hobbyshops. Give me a list of parts and I'll see what I can do. Email it to [email protected]

I don't blame you...GP doesn't give you any leeway with pricing, but at least Horizon's website doesn't try to cut their own customers throats. I've always liked Global, too
I'll shoot you an email in a few days with part numbers, but I'll tell you right now that I know Great Planes and Horizon don't carry them, which is part of the reason I don't have em now[:@]

#1 we need parts cause i be breaking stuff BOTTOM LINE PARTS and not waiting weeks or longer
#2 i think there outa be a little more info when we order parts (example) when ordering the 2 speed trans for the 1/10 scales they need to tell us that your going to need xtra bearings.or that aluminum motor mounts dont come with screws nor does the pullstarts for the .18 motors no screws tells us that stuff so some us dealers dont look like dummies when we sell them to customers
#3(parts) servos, radios, metal spurgears, interchangeable gears all different sizes for all different styles of racing.

RE: What do YOU want for your Redcat Racing RC car?
I think steel spur gears would be awsome. our differentials are metal so why not have the main spur gear be metal. And what about that little metal gear beside the spur gear in the 1 speed tranny why does that wear out faster than the plastic. maybe some sealed cv boots. and what about a rear exhaust header or a servo set up for a slide carb. Another thing that would be easy would be to take the tranny case and mirror the brake side so you could have a dual brake setup and maybe a center diff. some easy things would be some different wheel hexes. thats all that I can think of right now I think the metal gears are a must though

I really need them steel spur gears. I just broke another one. Im not stripping them 1 one single tooth breaks off and then proceeds to chew the whole gear up.

The reason is becouse the metal is a lot harder on the gears and the clutch bell becouse when you come off a jump and land at throdle you can bend and brake stuff a lot easer. the nylon lets it give and lets that nessary bend without snaping. i talked to my Frend down at my LHS about this so...

ok if redcat does all this u better not complain that a $150 buggy is now a $250 to $300+ buggy...I fer one have no use for led lights. my shock towers are thicker cause I bought the pro model...not to many rtr's have a good radio stock..etc etc...all ur list costs money..they would be losing money instead of making a profit..One thing thats so kewl about these models is they are a good priced foundation for you to modify to ur liking and personality..
