need some ideas for a new lightning body ?
yea I like my silver prelude body and everything... but they way it was cut... the front end totally scrapes... even if I pin it up as high as it can go... but I was thinkin about custumizing my lightning... and I've been tryin since I was 8 years old to get a gas rc car and get an oldschool VW bug body to paint and everything... but all everyone has i just baja bug bodys... and wouldn't look riht on an onroad car... help m fnd one please ?... lol because I know anyone can say it would looks really cool... paint it midnight blue with the oldschool white pantel sides... of if you can't find it... please post some pictures of a body that would look good on the lightning VX... because the VX is the best car I have yet... I had a HPI... I old it to get my lightning...

well I was thinking about custumizing a 98 Toyota supra body... paint the body a dark color and paint some 5 smoke chrome rims or some chrome mesh wheels on the nside so it will be like chrome blue and chrome rims...

unless the Carerra GT has one...

Wow i need to catch up on my Porche knowledge. I just got schooled. [sm=disappointed.gif]
And yeah the carrera GT does have a retractable spoiler. Our local dealership here has one in the showroom. I about shat myself when I saw it. Amazingly beautiful car.

maybe that'll be good for the overpowered Lightning project...

Any Idea what system you want to put into it? I have the futaba 2pl personally. I love the thing. Lots of programability. Even come with built in ABS and stuff like that.
Another good one is the standard futaba 2ph. Both those systems come with either one or two servos and are direct swaps.

right now i'm looking at both of those on e-bay and will probally get 1.
my remote system is back to normal, so i guess it was wet.
and cas that body will be fine just re paint it and do some cutting and it won't be a baja any more.

Tamiya had a 1/10 lexan Beetle a while back, but IIRC it was on the M chassis, and the wheelbase and track on the M chassis was quite a bit shorter than that of a touring car...that and Tamiya bodies are $30+ new, for one that isn't discontinued...and if a Tamiya part is discontinued...the price skyrockets.

Cas...it's a discontinued Tamiya part...
all the people that have been hoarding those discontinued Tamiya things have huge collections...and that's why Tamiya does limited edition releases, because the collectors would cry because their collection went down in value.
