Nit, first thing you need to learn is how to drive without hitting curbs or anything. I know it sounds dumb, but it's a lot harder to get used to than it sounds.

Also, buggies (both electric and nitro, 2wd and 4wd) are REAL tricky to try to get to do backflips. Backflips are best suited to cars that are geared for top-end speed with huge tires and 4wd (like a Savage with 19/46 gearing and 40 series Moabs)

Buggies are great jumpers...but they like to slap the chassis on the ground more than a monster truck usually does. But buggies also handle better and accelerate and brake better than monster trucks

nit...I'd suggest ya get the Tornado BB, instead of the XP or XL. has fewer parts in the suspension in the front end, so it's less parts to break I haven't REALLY tested one out yet...but it feels a bit tougher when squeezin it and whatnot. the suspension is similar to what's on your buddy's E-Maxx (only smaller)

the parts i'd stock up on (this is a new car so we don't have everything in stock YET) are a pair of front suspension arms (both upper and lower) and rear hub carriers.

$269.99 is our MSRP on it, but you can expect to find it closer to $210-230 or so when the dealers get it.

We don't have the BB on our site yet...that's how new it is, lol, but our new website launches july 1st with all our new stuff

No, we and Himoto are NOT the same company. Himoto is happy with the stuff they have while we're working on improving our models.

The parts are usually interchangeable, but Himoto doesn't really have a whole lot of support in the US, and they're not trying to get it (from what it seems), but we are.

And just for the record, I'm not just crap-talking another company. Himoto has had a lot of happy customers over the years...but soon our cars will be far superior, and we've already got a better support base in the US.

Why else do you think all the people in the States with a Himoto car come here for help?

Yes, but honestly, i'd keep the single speed and run a bigger clutchbell.

All RC cars break when you land them wrong.

I'd recommend you buy it from anybody that sells the dang things

The buggy and truck dont break anymore with jumping than the other brand cars i have, only problem is the spur gears, i would order a few extra. Also order a traxxas 4145x clutch spring, it comes with the shoes but dont use them, use the ones that come with the engine. i would suggest clermontmotorsports.com or topspeedtoys.com to order you buggy and parts from, i have never had a problem with either one, clermont is having a sale on parts and discounted shipping, i dont know about the buggys.

hope this answers your questions

the truck runs in the grass better since its higher off the ground. it does flip easier than the buggy. I would get the single speed buggy xl or truck. you can upgrade the clutch bell to an hpi bell,(nothiing but the redcat original for the 2 speed). i would suggest the truck for off roading. The buggy is good for on/off road, dirt track. The buggy handles better than the truck since its lower to the ground.

hope this helps

i never really tried to jump my redcat buggys, i didnt want to break anything since the suspension and tires are smaller. trucks take the jumps much better.

the only problem i have with my tornado is the spur gear stripping, i have the xp though and you want the xl so i think your going to be better off, it took 20 tanks of fuel before my single speed volcano stripped a spur. you should order a couple of extra spur gears when you order your car.
