Default Little help

My buddy bought the tsunami, and its running pretty good, however when it switches into second gear it bogs down and doesnt speed up like it should. I havent had an opportunity to look at it yet so i thought i would pick your brains.

It kinda sounds like a tuning problem. It may be a little lean on the HSN. Try richening it 1/8 turn and see if it gets better. Also check for an air leak near the fuel cap. The engine had to almost peak out before the 2nd gear shift. It may use up the fuel in the feed line during that rev and by the time it hits 2nd and is looking for more fuel to accelerate there isn't enough. Worth a shot! Good luck.

redcats 2 speed stinks, try to lean it out, usually you cant tune the engine to work well in 2nd gear, i think its geared 2 high, i have the bogging in my 2 speed redcats too, when i can get them to shift.

That's what I thought...that the ratio was just too wide...might be better if there was only 1 or 2 teeth difference on each gear...but I couldn't find any replacement gears to work...only the 2 spd clutch bell idea with the screw on gears...

you could always use the lighting gears they are not gears as high as the tornado and the are built exactly the same but with less teeth
