This is a 2 speed trans kit for the HPI Nitro 3 that will work but a little pricey. This was in the 10 buggy thread awhile back page #24. The guy used the stock trans case and he said it will all fit in, with no mods.[link]http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXBTB6&P=7[/link]

Here is the link with some pics of the Hpi 2peed tranny put together. post #584[link]http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_3775380/mpage_24/key_/tm.htm[/link]

no i havent just thought it was an idea, heres another idea: http://www.neweramodels.com/cgi-bin/...id=&part_id=97 as far as i could tell this would work, im considering it myself, its a drag setup so the gears are prolly tougher too, just a little spendy tho

Man that is an expensive fix. I wish we hadn't stocked any of the lightnings. Were gonna have some POed customers.

So far since we started selling them on our mobile shops 6 months ago we haven't had but one person come back with stripped gears on the Volcanos, but we have lots of other broken stuff like A-Arms, a melted slipper gear(on the inside where the clutch is) he didn't tighten the nut down like I told him, so oh well and other things that tend to go wrong. We tend to spend at least an half hour to an hour with a customer when they buy a vehicle teaching them as much as possible, we check the radios out, help them locktight the metal to metal screws, they get 4 free allen screws to replace the crappy philips head screws on the motor mounts, so you can lock them down good and tight, we also teach them how to start the car, shut it off, clear the engine of fuel, set the piston to BDC, drop after run or 3 in 1 oil in the engine when done and answer any questions they have. So I think that's why we don't have to many problems although I could be wrong.

They sell really good, but the way it SEEMS to be going over at Redcat I'm getting worried that there getting out of it, they haven't ordered any more stock. I'm trying to pick up a Himoto Distributor ship, I can get himoto cars already we are just waiting a couple of months to order them we have to order in a large quantity, will be sometime at the end of January before we put in an order. www.allaboutfunhobbies.com Just so you know when you go there the prices look way too high but that includes the starter kits and a can of fuel, the Himoto cars will be the same way, since our mobile shops cater to the beginner who has nothing to start out with and needs all the stuff from the get go. If you don't need that stuff we ask that you specify so in the comment bock on check out and we refund you back the amount of the starter kits and fuel. Also we will be buying topspeedtoys entire stock of Redcat Himoto Parts, however they will still be selling engines and other things.]

Edit: When I wrote this I wasn't thinking, lol. Took about two days to realize Redcat is probably doing the same thing we are, thinning out there stock, pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.

Seems like the redcat rumors are true, everyone is going out, topspeed and clermont hardly have any stock. Maybe redcat is going out. Himoto needs to start a forum like redcat did.

No it's not true there thinning there stock so they don't have to pay property taxes at the end of the year on everything they still have in stock, we are doing the same thing, we haven't ordered more cars in three weeks, matter of fact were almost out of everything. If they do go out we may possiblly be picking up the Himoto Line of cars, negotiations are still in the works.
