RE: Pictures of your redcats and other rides
Thanks, it's just purple metallic paint from the LHS (plain black for the bonnet). I'd love to have a flame job at the front with the dark metallic purple at the back, but I don't know how to make good-looking flames

ORIGINAL: el_tonto
Was a Tornado XP, converted to onroad using Street Force arms and some old Kyosho shocks. Front dogbones replaced by 4-Tec sliding universal shafts, 2-speed replaced by 47-tooth SavageX slipper spur on MT2 transmission shaft (original redcat housing). Otherwise stock!
Shell still needs cooling and aerial holes cut. Might install a fan and not cut the engine cooling holes

I took some step-by-step photos of the slipper spur installation once, but I've lost them. Front arms are Duratrax SF2 fronts, and rears and Duratrax SF2 rears. Front shocks are Lightning shocks with Kyosho springs (I think) and the rear shocks (not pictured) are Kyosho with Tamiya springs. The Kyosho gear is from some really old 1/10th unknown model truck.
There's a couple more photos on my profile.

Yeah it's the HPI '70 Cuda shell.
Here's an under-body shot showing the Duratrax arms - the rears push the wheels much forwards compared to stock, and the fronts push them slightly backwards. Necessary to fit the ~255mm touring car bodies on the ~275mm wheelbase former Tornado.

RE: Pictures of your redcats and other rides
Transmission is mostly [link=http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?I=LXFYP4]this MT2 slipper kit[/link] in the stock redcat housing, with [link=http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?I=LXMCZ8]this spur[/link] since the 52T for the MT2 is too big. I'm pretty sure [link=http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?I=LXEPF7]this is the spring[/link] that I used but I'm not 100%. Also needed a single 10x6x3 bearing (I used a robitronic one but any will do)
Housing needed light dremelling for clearance, and the brake plate needed a spacer just to push the disc slightly further away from the housing, since the shaft is slightly longer out the rear, and much longer out the front (can't remember what dogbone I used for the front, I think a 62 or 63mm from who-knows-where)
