    Transission Issue?

    Please help!

On my first tank of fuel the car was losing power until it finally stopped dead. After picking the Tornado up I noticed the rear drive shaft was off!
I replaced the shaft and went back to start the car. Upon starting the car will not move now! I try to roll it by hand and it just goes about 1/2 inch
and stops! Will not roll backwards either. It will idle, but when I apply throttle it just dies! Have I destroyed the transmission? Is something too
    tight? Please help.

    RE: Transission Issue?

Sorry, perhaps I wasn't clear. the grub screw did fall off but I got another.
    I have a 2 speed.
the drive shaft that fell off was the one from the tranny to the diff.
the car starts fine but it just seems like the brakes are on, it will not move. the car will not roll forwards when the engine
    is not running or running!

    thanks for the help!

    RE: Transission Issue?

Try loosening the brakes first they might have tightened up on their own.try sliding the motor over as far as you can away from the throttle gear and see if it will row dont start it like this.If it dont row after loosening the brakes and sliding the engine away from the tranny you either have messed up the differential or you got something inside the tranny thats not letting the gears move

I read somewere that someone got a little rock stuck i the brake pad maybe you did that also
or your engine screws came loose and motor shifted causing gear mesh to be way to tight check these hope you get it worked out

    RE: Transission Issue?

    i had the same problem.
loosened the brakes and its worked fine ever since.
i have no idea what happened. but i did use some intake cleaner the day before the problem.
dont loosen them up to much, make sure it stops when u use the brakes though.

check your brakes. check your clutch mesh and check to see if any of the diffs are locked up.
