Default truck gettin really hot

I just changed to this blue header for a tmaxx on my volcano sv and added a aluminum redcat pipe, now all of sudden my truck seems to get extremeley hot and boggs down, basically every time i start it it just dies out after i gas it, is there some kind of adjustment to my engine i need to make or could it be a whole different problem the truck was stock before i changed parts.[img][/img]

the high speed needle is the one above where the fuel line attaches to the carb, to add more fuel (richen) you turn it counter clockwise. on turn 1/8 turn at a time and try it out. if needed, do again and run until its running cooler. You may need to richen the low speed needle too, its in the center of where the linkage from the servo hooks up to the collar, you adjust this the same way. i would suggest you read the tuning thread sticky above this thread. Good luck bro

right on![8D], the main problem im gettin now is that when i slow down or while the truck is in idle it seems to shut off either as soon as i release the glow starter or when i accelerate and then hit the brakes to come to a complete stop[&o]

you may need a new glow plug or you may need to raise your idle, the idle screw is below the opening of the carb, its the screw with the spring on it. clockwise raises idle counter clockwise lowers it. try the idle first.
