Break in during Cold weather
I have read a zillion posts and read a bunch of different ways to break in a new motor. My biggest question is weather I should wait for it to be warmer to break in my engine or will 45-50 be OK. I have seen recommendation to put aluminum foil around the motor to keep the heat up during break in when it is cold.
Is the aluminum foil a good idea?
The weather is nice and sunny it's just the temps are cold here in sunny California right now.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

as long as you can get the engine upto at least 200F you are fine. if you are having trouble doing that try wrapping it alfoil. It really does work.

RE: Break in during Cold weather
You shouldn't have trouble getting up to temp at 45F. It's not even close to freezing out. I know a lot of people have issues starting a cold engine though, so good luck with that. So you don't get frustrated and snap your pull-cord, you may want to have a hair dryer and extension cord handy. A heat gun is way too hot, just in case that crossed your mind! lol
