Default Valcano not getting fuel

Hello there. I have a Valcano sv that i have run about a half gallon of fuel through with no problems at all. But now I can not get it to run right. The only way I can get it started is to put a couple drops of fuel in the carb, than it fires right up and stalls as soon as those drops are gone. I can hold my finger over the exhaust pipe and regulate it to keep it running. I have removed the pressure line at the exhaust pipe and I can blow through that and fuel will flow to carb end of fuel line. I have also checked for leaks in line.....none. I have removed fitting at carb to make sure it was clean and no blockage. I even took my exhaust pipe apart and all looks fine there. I have already replace glo plug with a new one nad same result. I checked for leaks at exhaust manifild and even resealed it....still not fixed. Any ideas???? Compression seems to be good so i expect back pressure to be ok?? Thanks in advance for your input.

maybe there is a blockage behind the nipple of the fuel line, not a total one, just enough to block fuel flow when under normal pressure.

try richening the high speed needle a 1/2 turn and see if that helps, also richen the low needle a 1/2 turn, did you fool with the needles at all?

before you let it sit for a few weeks, did you empty the fuel tank? maybe you have something caught in the carb from the tank possibly. You should always run a filter on your rc's, especially the 1/10 redcats since they dont have a filter built into the fuel tank.

The fuel tank was empty when i let it sit....I had pulled out the fitting on the carb and everything was clean. If I start it with a few drops of fuel into the carb and blow on the pressure tube from the exhaust going to the tank it will run. I am not sure if I am getting enough pressure from the exhaust or what is wrong there. It is the stock exhaust and it seems fine, no cracks and oring is fine.

Guess I will have to look into that tomorrow, havent had the carb apart yet. That would make since. Fuel flows very easy to the fuel line at the carb when i blow through the pressure tube. And when it is running I am sure I am blowing more pressure then the exhaust would. I just relized that when I had the fuel line still connected to the carb there was alot more resistance than when the fuel line was off of the carb. (I wasnt sure if it should just pour fuel into the carb or not) So chances are because i didnt have a filter on it, something got cloged in carb? What do you guys recomend for a fuel filter?

Didn't make any diff. With the needle out fuel flowed through just fine. Put it back together and it was the same.

maybe its the low end needle, it will flow easily with no needle in it.

So you think the carb itself is the problem? Where can I pick up a new one? Haven't seen any at redcat's site. Can I get a carb that will perform better then stock? Also what do you guys recomend for a fuel filter? Thanks again for all your help! It's nice to get info without getting crap for not knowing all about this hobby!!

i gave redcat danny a carb for an os czr .12 and it works great, no problems at all or you can purchase a carb from one of the dealers here, just drop them an email. I would suggest the os carb, i am sure tower hobbies has them.
