i would suggest using the spring and keeping the stock clutch shoes and yes the nitro version is faster, get the electric and put a brushless system in, the one that redcat sells, its fast as can be, lol

i dont know about the go engines, i would go for the sh.18 or the os cvrx before i would go for the go engine
if you use the engine replacement program from redcat, you can get the sh .18 for less than $50: http://www.redcatracing.com/itemdeta...tno=sh18engine
or the os .18 cvrx: http://www.clermontmotorsports.com/s...lue-11j/Detail

2 channel, a 3rd channel would be for reverse or putting lights on and off, 1 channel is throttle, 1 channel is steering so you would only need 2

Can anyone suggest a durable rim for the volcano that will fit the stock tires? I have three busted stock ones now. One is totally shot and the other two are cracked through the center.

You will need two sets of these http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXJK63&P=ML
They came stock on my stampede and I never broke one.

Thanks, but looking for something with a bit more style, gotta have the bling. I actually like the looks of the stock rims, just don't want to be constantly replacing them.
Will any 2.2 rim with 12mm hex work?

just get some more stock ones, lol. maybe you got some out of a bad batch, mine are fine after alot of jumping.
most 2.2 and 2.8 with the 12mm hex will work.
