i have the sv
can some 1 please show me with pictures and directions of how to set up my my throttle and brake servo?
im having trouble of where to set the arms and all
please help so i can run my truck

basically you put the transmitter and car on, put the trim knobs on the transmitter to the center, try to put the throttle arm on the throttle servo so the carb is 1mm open and the brake is not on or as close as possible, put the arm on the steering servo so the wheels are as close to straight as possible then trim them the rest of the way with the trim knobs. is this what you wanted to know? there is no real set way, if you need, check out the pictures on the redcatracing.com website at the volcano to get a basic idea of how they go.

do you mean the brake linkage? if so, there is a small grub screw that hold it in place, right on top inside the chrome piece above it. check the grub screws in the drive cups (cups that hold the dogbones). also make sure the slipper clutch is tight on the trans, its the nut behind the spur gear.

seems like a good deal, i dont like rotostarts, you need that charged battery all the time, not saying its not good, i used to love it on my hpi till i showed up to the track with a dead battery, within a 1/2 hour i had a pull start on it and a starter box.

thats the brake rod, there is a pad behind the brake that the flat part of that rod sits one. should stay in place if installed right.

spray the whole rc down with wd40 before you run it and after when its dry, blow off the excess if you have a compressor or can of air.

I can move my spur gear left and right, there is a space of about an 1/8" between the nut and the side of the case. I assume the spur gear shouldn't slide side to side. I tried to loosen the nut with a wrench but couldn't hold the spur gear. What is the easiest way to adjust this? Do i have to remove the transmission?

Thanks

you need to tighten it, not loosen it then, just hold the gear with one finger and use a wrench and tighten the slipper nut.

the 2 shafts on the top are for the transmission, the gears go on them

02016 are for the front and rear diff,
02003 goes from the trans to the rear diff
06006 goes from the trans to the front diff
