never heard of them, but I would think that they should be ok as long as they are short hot, you shouldn't have a problem.

any one else ever heard of them or maybe even use them?

Here is what you need to do. Time how long you can run for on a tank of fuel. Then about 1 min before you run out of fuel bring it in and refuel before running out of fuel. That way you can run for as long as you have gas no need to try to start a hot motor either

or just get like 5 feet of fuel tubing, and loop it up and zip tie it down, that way you get baller run times haha, not really, but try modding another tank on. winged wheel sold me his volcano and he put a savage tank on it. works great

Red-nick,(no pun intended)Ill have to try that. It just seems kinda hard to check thr time when racing aggressivly, but i guess once used to it not a problem. Tihstae, I already have 10ft. of tubing on it,another 5ft. shouldnt hurt.Thats a big tank bro, from what you can tell, did it take much modding? It really looks stock.By the way when me and the boys race,we race for parts and simple stuff like that nothing to expensive.(plugs, clips, screws, beer)we always loose the little things. it keeps it fun and it dont hurt to get some free parts. thanks for the assist guys. Sincerely, The green mule driver (indarican)

I also added the Savage fuel tank wich is a 160cc tank compaired to the stock volcano tank 75cc. The only mods required is cutting some pices to allow the larger tank to fit. Nothing a dremel cant handle.

Thanks for the info.Im pretty sure thats what i will do next. Thats a big difference in size. I shouldnt have to fill up twice as much as my boys when we run. The(green mule)is a lot smaller then there trucks, but when it comes to solid driving and really great midrange power i always win a couple of heats to claim my prizes. Cant win them all though With longer runs maybe i can.[8D] Till the next time If ya aint livin yer dyin! Indarican

I have the Vertex engine and am having problems keeping it idling correctly. It will idle when first started but tends to want to die at idle after up to operating temps. Tried a bunch of carb settings (hsn 2 1/4 out, lsn flush with collar now.) It seems to be running at the right temp. It will idle fine if I leave the glow ignitor installed.

Is this a sign that I need a hotter glow plug? I believe it's a 5 installed now.

these .18 need a hot plug, you could try a hot plug if all else fails. are you adjusting the idle screw?
