Volcano EPX Pro - Running 2s lipo.

I'm constantly bending the front dogbones... And I've noticed that the shocks don't seem to dampen all that much.  This truck has been driven for maybe a total of 2 hours over the last 3 weeks.  I've bent the front dogbones almost every day.  Last night I installed two universal shaft kits in the front in hopes that this would fix the bending of the dogbones, but after about 20 minutes with very minimal wrecking, the shafts were bent so much that they were hitting the springs on the shocks.

This is when I noticed that the shock dampening was virtually nothing.  When this truck arrived I never checked the oil in the shocks (not quite sure yet how to do this), I'm just wondering what wt. oil they come preloaded with? Also, what's a good wt. oil for bashing on a loose clay track?

Thanks in advance for the replies.

I use 30 weight for bashing and my shocks wher doing the same thing so I stretched the springs out a little bit .Redcat said to replace the drive cups every 2 quarts of fuel. Look at the drive cups if there is a groove wore in them you should replace them that could be the problem.Hope this helps .???

Vocano elec EXP pro

Can I extend the reciever attenna? Does not even reach out the top of body.

Simple as just splicing and making it longer?

Are you having range issues? if it is a 2.4G radio you dont need it to be long.

Still hesitates in and out thought that might be the issue, sticks out above the roof about 1/16 of a inch.

Already reset the low voltage cut off, sometimes its real herky jerky

It appears the transmission will bolt up but I am looking into getting the parts to try it now.

Hi, have been searching for an answer but can not find it.

My rear dogbones on my oldHimotoEldorada/Volcanobottom out in the cups before my suspension does. So it seems like my dogbones are to long. They measure about 90mm in length.

Any shorter dogbones available?
Are the newer Volcano dogbones longer than older Himoto's?

Also I know about the fuel tubing trick and that is not the problem.

Thanks

Updat to the two speed upgrade. It can be done very easily but the final gearing with the stock tires is way too tall, if you used wheels with a smaller diameter it should be OK.

Hello all,
I just got a volcano pro for xmas. I am about to read the forum. I have some 2 cell lipos on the way. I hear this thing will really kick it with better batteries. I already hooked up lights to it to ride at night but last night i only came back with 3 wheels ...lol i found the other with a flash light. But not the nut. Where is the best place to order spares??
