OK I just noticed the pic. The thing u r talking about is the flywheel. It sits on a brass colet that as more pressure is put on it scweezes closed on the crankshaft. That can't break and it supposed to be hard to turn because u r moving the piston.

hey overdrivest checked out that diff box, and everything looks rather good. Im sure a new set of bearings wouldnt hurt but the manual doesnt help much. Shows different bearings in there but the 10-5-4 numbers dont match up with parts listed in the manual. If you can do me favor jus go to your volcano and see if you can move the spur gear from front to back a little. Im thinking it might be normal i dont know. Do any of you know the part number for the differential gearboxs bearings? For whats its worth im gonna give it some new bearings. Oh well ima go put it back together for know... hasnt hurt it much yet since ive drove it this way.

O i See well anyway thanks alot man. Ive owned a volcano for a while now, they are definitely pretty nice for the price. Fortunately i havent had to many problems with mine. Thanks for all your help tho. I dont think you a liar i appreciate your help, and i wish you good luck with getting a volcano. Anyway is there anyone who can tell me whether or not its normal to be able to move your spur gear back and forth inside the diff box until it hits the outer walls of the diff box. Thanks alot everyone

those are bushings i saw those not sure if thats them. I have bearings in mine and would like to replace them with bearings. Ultimately b/c bearings are way betting than bushings.
I saw those in the catalog, but they say 5-10-4 and the book says 10-5-4. Dunno maybe sumone will know where i can get them?

I have re3cently bought that header, and my op. its a waste. I ended up taking it off. I use the tuned pipe and not the header. Anyone got a good used single speed for a volcano?

RE: Redcat Racing Volcano Thread
Well 1st thing, the header diameter is lil smaller, I had a real hard time keeping the pc between the header and muffler together. 2nd, the part of the header that mounts to the motor is actually small than the stock one. The actually exhaust port is smaller in the header. I guess you could take a dremel and open in up some. But I have tried both ways and I can't tell any difference with or with out the header. But Im am using the tuned pipe .
