When it came time for me to buy a buggy I went with the single speed because I read that the two-speeds have nothing but problems. Plus where I'm running, I really dont have room for 2nd gear to kick in anyway. But good luck and let me know how you make out. Later, Joe

Are there different color rings around the top of the plug? If so what are they?

i was running my car today and when i would tap the throttle it would seem like the servo wasnt returning all the way back but it was and after a while it would go back to idling again. the car had been almost completely under water but i got most of the water out and it runs alright except for that

My 2 speed transmission on my tornado bb has stripped out two times since getting it in February. I believe this time it was my second speed spur gear since it wont shift into second and bogs out at anything above minimum throttle. Are there any better quality spur gears that will fit my tonado bb 1/10 scale and not strip as easily? thank you. If not is it the 44 t, 39 t, 58 t, 47 t, or 42 t, spur gear that needs replacing. Thanks

have you watched the video one redcat racing support about setting the gear mesh for your spur gear? i know if you don't have it set it right the gears will strip pretty easy.

these could be helpful to prevent the stripping from occurring, however, right now i need the question above to be answered.

i have a tornado bb and i have been wanting for some time now to upgrade the engine. i was just wondering what engine would provide the most acceleration but would also be a direct fit? Also i was wondering if anyone knew of any good sites to buy hop up parts from. Thanks!

The sh 18 engine is a good upgrade, really good engine. With the redcats engine replacement program you can get it for 45 bucks which is a awesome deal. The os cr-vs (i think thats the one) motor is even better, buty thats like 120 bucks or something. Get the sh, you will be happy with it

Oh ya, you would be suprised. Just because the engine is the same displacement, doesnt mean that it puts out the same power. I would deffinitely reccomend the sh 18

hey guys, i got cameron at redcat to tell me how to tell the glow plugs apart. i now have a new problem, i have a hard time starting the engine, when it does start it wants to scream at sounds like full throttle, wont idle at all, not even close to where the idle needs to be. the tires are screaming fast. i have tried setting the needles back to original factory settings, i took off the carb and cleaned all the internal pieces(fully disassembled), i am running a medium glow plug and 20% nitro. fairly new to the nitro world. i am about to take the shotgun to the dam thing but i still have hope. please help.

i cant try to start it on the ground right now, there are some kids sleeping in the house. i was messin with it earlier today and when it did start it ran for only a few seconds and when it was running it wanted ta run 1000 miles an hour. it did run for more than a couple seconds a couple of times but i had to keep it running with the throttle.

it was running really fast (engine). tirea were screamin too but they should have been. i cant get the idle to come down and stabalize, it just dies. now i have set the gap in the carb to about 1mm, reset the carb to the factory settings and i removes disassembled and cleaned the carb. i have a medium glow plug with one tank of 20% fuel ran through it. my glow igniter is fully charged, i have blew through both fuel lines and they are clear. the only thing i can think of left is the clutch spring but it isn't showing any symptoms of that being the problem

2 1/2 turns out on both. thats what it says to do oin the manual, thats what it was when i got it. only after i changed glow plugs and started messin with the needles did this happen, and the screw for the brake linkage fell out so is got another one. i have checked the throttle linkage to see if it is binding and have found nothing, thanks by the way for helping.
