Cool thanks.

Nice picture mate, I haven't been able to find a picture of a close up of the shockwave, thanks

Edit>

So I'm getting the shockwave for my birthday and before I even run it I'm going to do the mods...

Car:
TORNADO XL - $99.99 -------------- http://www.redcatracing.com/itemdeta...partno=TORNADO
Nitro Starter Kit And RC Tool Set - $19.99 -------------- http://www.clermontmotorsports.com/s...ter-Kit/Detail
Traxxas Top Fuel 20% Quart - $8.99 -------------- http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXJM38&P=ML

Upgrades(Needed):
Hpi 17 Tooth Vented Clutchbell - $14.99 -------------- http://www.clermontmotorsports.com/s...-vented/Detail
Traxxas Clutch Shoes/Spring T-Maxx - $7.39 -------------- http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...=++&search3=Go

Extras:
Associated Muffler RPM Tuned Side Exhaust - $18.39 -------------- http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXBMH0&P=7
HPI Aluminum Exhaust Header Nitro 3 - $12.99 -------------- http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXBTB5&P=ML

So all of that will get me running good for under $200 I guess. I could probably talk them into getting me the car,starter kit and fuel for me. Then I would enough money for the the clutchbell and spring at that time, then once I get paid for painting a garage I could get the pipe and anything else. Is anything else needed?

you should be good with that bro, you dont really need the clutch bell and spring, it should come with a steel one and better spring and shoes.

I ran into the first problem w/ my Tornado today. The throttle servo isn't working correctly...the servo only opens the carb ~1/2 of the way and sometimes gets stuck there. When applying the brake the servo makes a loud grinding/ticking noise and doesn't move the rod at all.

When I broke the car in I noticed that the spring on the servo rod was sort of warped, but the servo worked fine. I tried adjusting the grub screw at the end of the spring, but that made things worse. Is the spring the problem, or do I have a bad servo? And what parts would be available at the LHS?

I can post pics if it will narrow the problem down.

take the stock steering servo and move it to the throttal and use this for steering

http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXDWF8&P=RF

there are cheaper options but this one works great. btw the stockers are crap and anything futaba or hitech is an improvement.

Yes sounds like the servo went away. Mine actually came apart while installing on the new aluminum upper plate.. So I replaced it with a Hi tec servo I had laying around. Works good.

Yes sounds like the servo went away.
I took the servo apart today and a few of the gears had missing or chewed up teeth, but what could have caused this within 10 tanks of fuel, including break-in?

Also, would the LHS have a replacement spring or something comparable for the throttle? I can't seem to find a replacement on Redcat's site. Thanks guys.

It is not a redcat because the redcats only have 1 a-arm on each side and the tank is different. Here are some pictures of a redcat. It is all stock except for the clutch bell, exahust pipe and [&:]tires.
