you could, just get the bigger ones so the reciever will fit in it, just zip tie the end where the wires come out.

Is there any chance of the blocks cracking? What about if the car gets buried in snow? It get -40F here every winter.

I think so. When I got a smartech car it came with one I just never knew what it was for.

anything is possible but i doubt it, you may have to wrap it with aluminum foil to keep the temp up if its -40. with the body on, even if it get burried in the snow, i am sure you will get to it before snow enters inside the body.

I"ll have to try that. The weather guy is talking snow tomorrow already.

Can I lean it out a bit to make it run hotter or does that become an issue if I go to far? I'm sure at -40 it would be hard to make it overheat.

it not the leaning to run warmer, it would be the lack of lubrication from the oil in the fuel, thats why you would wrap it with foil.

What If you used a fuel with a high oil content, could you lean it out more then? Like then break in blend fuels?

i wouldnt think so but its a good point, i would use the same fuel you always use, check the temp, try to keep it at 180 minimum. wrap the cooling head with some aluminum and you should be ok.

Hey thanks hibityhupla,

I got some O'Donnell plugs in there (cant remember which ones offhand, but they should be hot ones). When you say its rich do you mean the HSN or LSN? I've turned the HSN 2 1/2 turns out from bottom and LSN flat with the top.

I've had to replace my stock tyres as I broke a wheel when I crashed into a garden wall and got the HPI F5 rear wheels with HPI Yokohama Geolander tyres. They look real good! Have loads more grip and handles soo much better than the stock ones.

If your looking at the car from the top the fuel adjustment is the one that comes up right beside your air filter. Turn it in to lean it out-turn it out to make it rich.

The part # for the clutch and spring is 02048 . As far as the running problem Try to adjust the idle. Take the air filter off so you can see what your doing and make sure the carb is open 1-1 1/2mm. After that maybe try leaning it out a 1/4 turn. I would try the idle first.

If anyone has the o.s18cv-rx in their buggy and really wants to make it fly buy the hpi threaded clutch bell with the 18t and 23t gears and order the redcat lightning transmission # 02076. With the stock engine I couldn't make it shift but with the o.s. the car flies. I raced my buddy who is still running his stock and I can almost beat him without shifting but after I hit second it isn't even a race anymore.
