They dont have to be long enough, just put it back together as if your not adding the old one then after every thing is put together, look where there is nothing on top and drill you some hole's and put in your bolts and bolt it on with the old one on the bottom.

RE: Redcat Racing Tornado Thread
yeah i guess that would work but it would have to bolt up under the diffs also because if it was just in the middle i think it would just bend the new one right?

I would try and put bolts just inside of the diffs under the center dogbones. There should be plenty of room, just be sure that the bolt heads don't get in the way of the steering components in the front.

haha thats why i'm a teachers pet at the beginning of the year and then i kinda just stop talking to them half way through the year, so i dont get yelled at when im missing things because they like me. sometimes i stick with the teachers because they're hilarious...like my hippie math teacher Terry.

RE: Redcat Racing Tornado Thread
If this hasnt already been asked....
Is it feasible to break this thread up into categories like
-one thread for mods
-one thread for trouble shooting
-one thread for chassis stuff
-one thread for chat i.e. how many houses you jumped your tornado etc etc
????
90 pages of stuff to read through is a sh*t ton....

most of the common questions would be on the first 2 pages, you always have the top thread " http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_5399029/tm.htm " for redcat product support

RE: Redcat Racing Tornado Thread
thats all there is bro, i have searched and searched, i own many other rc's and the closest i could find where for the hpi rs4 but they are still different. if you mesh the gears good and have a steel clutch bell you should be good with the stock ones.

my tornado is resurected (or how ever u spell it) i havent gotten to rip it yet and the mesh is a little bit loose but im gonna let the gears wear in by driving it easy then tighten the mesh because im to lazy and it takes me a while to get the mesh perfect. anyway its so nice it looks like i just pulled it out of the box. il post pics sometime

RE: Redcat Racing Tornado Thread
ahh nvm i already see that im probably the only one that doesnt use it. i almost never take the body off now that i've made a hole so i can get to my gas tank easily. i only take it off to do repairs. i just carry it be the wing mount's standoff
