Should the tsunami in stock form be able to lift the front wheels off the ground?

i got the part number. After you run your engine for ten munutes should you be able to touch it? After i run mine its barely warm even the pipe is just warm. Thats not normal is it?

it should work, the hpi's have the same crank on the engine as the vx.18, at least the .15 fe and t versions so i am sure the .18 does too since they are interchangable with the .15's

the .18 hpi is a decent engine, the sh is just a better quality engine than the vx, has more power too.

would you rather put the hpi engine in? I just want to goe another one for a spare. Do you think a traxxas 3.3 would work lol thats a big motor

lol, the traxxas would be harder to put in since it has a different exhaust, the stock engienes come from the side and they are rectangular, the traxxas is rear and round. I would say wait and trade your vx for an sh.18 unless your getting a great deal on the hpi. the sh would be 1/2 price if your car is redcat.

iv got the sh im just looking for a spare engine so i have one maybe with a bit more power. Im always up for a new chalange i like making something "impossible" work lol i think that the traxxas would just start wearing thinks out fast. I want to make this thing last with parts that i can go to my local hobby store and pick up there's nothing worse than waiting for parts so you can play. Do you know if all the dog bones have the same size ends on them?

they have the same size ball at the end. if you want a good, fast, reliable, powerful engine, put an os cvrx .18 in it. http://www.clermontmotorsports.com/s...lue-11j/Detail

i have the os engine in a few of my cars, i have the sh in my volcano and i have a pal of mine who has that hpi .18 in his hpi rs4 3 evo, i put it in for him, its a pretty good engine too. Most or i should say all half decent hobby shops have os and parts for os.

Well I ran my tsunami for about an hour today and shaved all the teeth off of the spur gear for first gear. Are they hard to change? Is there another transmition that I could put in it that would be better?
