no, tmaxx is a traxxas product, its a monster truck, you can use the shocks from that on the volcano and since the tsunami uses the same shocks as the volcano except 4 not 8, you can use 4 tmaxx shocks.

does the single speed tranny have that one way bearing in the spur gear? Can you get a metal spur gear anywhere?

Yes it has the one way bearing but you really dont want metal spur. Too much rotating mass so you will lose some power. If everything is meshed right and yuo dont have teh stock aluminum clutch bell you should never have to replace teh spur gear.

ok that sounds good. Is there a reason the one way bearing is in there? Do most wheels fit on the tsunami? I want something with more grip im haveng some problems controlling it on loose dirt

put rustler rears on it with gladiator tires, i love em, most 12mm hex 2.2 rims will fit and 2.8's for the jato too, you have more choices with 2.2 size though, here's mine with the rustler rears and gladiators whatever you get make sure you get all rears since its 4wheel drive.

the total diameter is larger than the stock tsunami rims, the os is a more powerful engine but its more than 2x the price of the sh if you use the engine replacement program and there are a few different pitch's to the teeth on rc gears, most of the nitro's are the same and electrics are different, tpi depends on the amount of teeth on the gear, a 44tooth gear will have more teeth than a 47 tooth gear

I cant use the engine replacenent program because my truggy is an amax cheetah. I have found some os engines on ebay for around 80 bucks so not too bad. I ordered some upgrade shocks for the tmaxx im getting a set of 8 so ill have some spares. what about the gear question do you think all the gears have the same tooth per inch on them?

hpi gears are the same pitch, i dont know if they will work in the trans though. you will not be disapointed with the os cvrx .18, i have 4 of them and they are great.
