the stock clutch bells have a 5 tooth difference, 17/22-13/18 the one you posted has a 7 tooth difference and may have too much play, they say you can have a 1 tooth difference, i think 2 may be too much.

I think I finally have visualized how it is supposed to be setup, basically you use the tension pin to extend the shaft enough that you can get a large washer on the end of the clutch bell, tight enough that it can spin in place without any up and down play? I ordered the parts, but think I am going to just use 5x8 bearings instead.

i ran mine with the bearings and used the stock washers and screw. i didnt extend anything out past the end of the clutch bell, and if you had the motor off you could just slide the clutchbell off of the bearings, but with the motor on and lined up it worked flawlessly.

Sounds easy then, once I get my replacement engine and everything set I will see if I can get this thing to do wheelies. Even with the Vx and at full throttle the body pulled backwards, so hopefully with the Sh and the different clutch bell it will get off the ground.

Ok guys, here are some pics that should help anyone doing this upgrade. First shot is layed out in order what actually attaches to the crankshaft snout. * The clutch bell CAN slide off the shaft when the engine is not mounted. once the engine is lined up, it obviously can not go anywhere. I have ran almost a gallon through my car since doing this and have had NO problems (other than traction!). The screw, lock washer, and flat washer (from left to right first 3 parts) are the stock parts. Then i use a 5x8 bearing, then two 5x8 bushings, then another 5x8 bearing. the flat washer is one i came up with that is the correct size for the shaft.
Here is a shot of it all bolted on

Just a note for anyone trying to install this use the 5x8 bearings, and dont use the hpi needle bearing. I had an extra needle bearing and when I tried to tighten the screw into the shaft until it was tight the downward pressure from everything causes the plastic needle bearing to distort and lock up the clutch bell.
