New body - new pics
Well finally got my new body painted, trimmed, and decal(ed) here are some pics.
I still need to adjust the body placement slightly and test drive it to see how it looks and stands up, but here is what I worked on this weekend while weather was not ideal for running it.

More ... and oh yeah, I tried to do some two toning with non-R/C paint and I would not advise it as it didn't stick for [blank] and I had to go back and remove it with DOT3 brake fluid and then re-paint all one color but I think it turned out okay as I am happy with the results.
Besides, it's almost like a "mini-me" truck of my other "toy" truck

Yes 123michael it is metallic silver that I painted, I didn't post the pics where you can see it but here you go, this should show it better.

How ironic, I just got those same rims in friday morning, with the fat tires that go on them, there like the tires on your truck only without white lettering, That is way too wiered. Looks good though.

Thanks guys, the raised white lettering is an effect I added using some tire letter paint I had to spruce up the letters on my full size truck before getting new tires last year.
Hey AllAbout ... the wheels showing in the last pic are painted with some Rustoleum paint [] I sprayed some Greased Lightning degreaser on them after a day of running and it ate the damn coating right off [:@] my bad.
Anyway, I need to pick up a replacement set of those wheels, are you selling them yet?

Just the RIM or Rims and tire set preglued, Nice tires there, just like the ones on the volcanos, I think I need to get some more. I couldn't find just the tire, I don't know what the name of the tire is, lol, it doesn't say.

LOL thanks slide ... I need to tweak it a little with the wheel wells, LED lights, windown tint (from local auto parts store), etc.
That there bumper add-on is a small piece of aluminum track for lighting and helps protect the wheel parts that seemed to always break when I would hit things (at least during the colder winter months).
I am actually thinking of removing it since I am a better driver now and feel it at times adds to the dramatic cartwheel crash scenes

RE: New body - new pics
Okay, I'd like to find out from you all ... your thoughts on something.
After I ran it with the new body, I noticed that engine temps ran quite high ... like 240ish. I don't want to cut holes in the nice new body, or is this something I cannot avoid?
I just ordered a Hood Scoop kit from OOC - http://www.oocrcracing.com
I do plan to open the wheel wells some more, are there any other alternatives or does anyone have tips to make holes without making them super obvious or weakening the body?
Thanks!

240 is not that hot, but you should get some air in there, cut a hole in the windshield for easy access to the fuel tank, then you can cool the engine and refuel before it runs out of gas, i cut all my windshields out (except electrics) and cut out for access to the glow plug and pullstart, i hate to take the body's off to start them.

ehroof, I totally hear you on leaving the body on to start and re-fuel it but I just feel hesitant to cutting holes in this nice newly painted body ... what to do, what to do? I'm also afraid of making the body weaker by putting holes in it, what's your thoughts on that?
wildtornado, LOL! That bumper mod is kinda like training wheels ... it's saved my front components from snapping but I do think it may be time to take it off ... I'll be posting some new pics soon so you can see without it
I dyed my stock wheels and then hit them with a good coat of Fusion paint for plastics, man it looks so, so, so mean now. Just waiting on a few more goodies I ordered.

RE: New body - new pics
I'm going to see if the hood scoop kit from OOC helps enough so that I don't need to cut any holes, but I may just so that I can leave the body on.
And oh I know it will get trashed over time, but it's so nice right now I can't just go hack it up
