there's nothing unusual in what you are experiencing hey. All engines are notoriously fickle for the first couple of litres. What could be happening is that you are running it too ean, its heating up, konking out and hard to re-start. Its a very common occurance and all I can say is patience is the key!

i have a few of the os .18 and i never have a problem with them starting, what you are discribing is a blown motor, starts and runs then shuts off and very hard to start again, either that or your running it very lean and its very hot but the os engine is very easy to start.

its a bit of a stretch to say its a blown motor dont ya reckon? I own several engines and they ALL have been through problems like he described and its almost always a tuning issue in th end. Its very common. Anyway they're my thoughts.

Hey Rclynx I'm well; you?

I dont think it is far fetched with a blown motor. As he wrote above, he is running it lean. Running a motor that lean will kill it in no time. (ask my son ) lol 9-10 times if it is that hard to start once heated up, it is blown as ehroof said.

the first sign of a blown motor is shutting off when hot then very hard to restart and lower compression when hot. The compression gets less as the engine gets warmer. But if your running it lean like you said that may be the problem too.
