Well the RC gods have smiled down upon me. I stripped spur gear during my little session yesterday so I was kinda bummed. Then one of the guys I am working with decides today that he is tired fixing his BB and sells it to me for 100.00. All the spare parts I need

FIrst of all some are hard to turn with out the wheels in the air. But in any case either you batteries are weak or your servo bit the dust. If its your stock servo then that is the problem.

Guys, thanks so much for talking me through this and convincing me not to give up this great hobby. Changed out my transmission, lined up gears and had another great afternoon on my makeshift track. ehoff, thanks for the tip about the fuel line o-rings in the dog bone cups. Man I flipped and rolled several times and all four dog bones are still fine. Neat little trick bro.

Nope no pics today and no video camera out here. I will try to get some more pics tomorrow. Still wish I could figure out why the uploads link does not work for me Hopefully I can get the other guy with the BB to try out my little track. Had a blast today. So much easier to control with 4WD. Guess a 4WD buggy is not meant to be driven with only rear axles. Getting pretty good at turning at speed and such. Looks like I am hooked!

you can do it but it puts so much power to two wheels it hard to control and I am pretty sure it will not do wheelies maybe the tsunami might but good luck and have fun

I used the other car for parts to get mine back to 4WD. The BB's to not work well at all with just rear wheel drive. Being that the differentials are limited slip it is really hard to go in a straight line. One wheel pulls then the other so your are pretty much constantly doing dough-nuts if you give the thing any real gas input. 4WD is the way to go with a 4WD car. I would assume that 2WD cars have positive traction in the back which would make them easier to control. I could not imagine something like the 3.3 JATO with limited slip rear end. You would never go straight LOL.

Well I broke down and got some free image hosting since I can't seem to get the "upload images and files" link to work for me. Here is one of my new stable. Will try to get some of my makeshift track and some jumps etc. this afternoon. Just gotta find one of these rednecks that can work a digital camera. Left car is my daily basher, right car is newly acquired parts car.

how fast can them go? Tsunami goes pretty fast on road, probably close to 50 maybe 60 i don't know i usually go pretty far then punch me at me then drive straight to the end of the road, maybe in within 7 sec i'm on the other side which thats pretty far. If u go walking might from one side to the other side might take u 3 min. LOL maybe more.

Finally got some half decent pictures. Note I said half decent. Can't seem to get a clear moving shot. Anyway, here are a few from our bash yesterday. One of the rig hands showed up with a new Traxxas Rustler 2.4. Man that thing is nice. Think I may just have to get a Revo 3.3 My BB is nice, but it is pretty rough out here and I think I could have more fun with a 1/8 FWD. Just too damn bumpy or my BB. His Rustler was just cruising over bumps that were upending my BB.

Hey guys,

I too have a redcat and a couple of other makes. I've run the redcat and am now in the process of making some upgrades. Mine is the el cheapo, but it goes like a banchee.

You guys make me laugh when you talk about being 38 and 39 years old and laughing your as... off while running your RC's. How about this 63 year old grinning from ear to ear and laughing my a.. off every time I'm running (racing) any of my cars. We flat track and thus get lots of chances to break stuff. So far my redcat has stood up pretty well, but wheel hits are tough on dogbones. But I've busted up my Losi the same way. It doesn't like front corner hits either. And it cost 2.5 times as much as the redcat. So far I think the redcat gives a huge amount of bang for the buck.

Just my nickel's worth.
