servo or carbuetor problem?!
well im getting back into nitro cars and i finally turned on my tornado after 5 weeks without driving it and this is the problem : when i accelarate all the way the carburetor opens all the way and then when i let go it closes as it should but when i press reverse and then let go the carburetor opens to like the middle and accelarates without me holding the trigger what is wrong could it be that spring in the servo arm?for reference it has a os .18 cvrx with rotary carb

RE: servo or carbuetor problem?!
reverse? you mean break right?
is it possible to take a picture of how it's set up?
That would help alot. And if you can, a video of you just operating the throttle and break.

whoa, that's weird. Uhm, I've never seen that before. I guess just try to play with your trim. It almost looks like it resets to half throttle, but that couldn't be the problem since it resets right after you hit the throttle. You could always try to put your linkages on other places of the arms.

are you using the original radio sysytem? If so, thats the problem, probably the servo, i couldnt see since the movie was dark, i just replaced the throttle servo in my volcano, i thought it was the reciever or transmitter but i tested the servo with a new one before i swapped out systems and the new servo worked fine, try a new servo.

there are screws on the bottom that hold the tray in, like 2 of them, the rear diff has 2 screws on the box too. you dont need to remove it, just get it up enough to get the plug thru the bottom, i actually made a small cut out in the plastic and ran it front the top/side of the box, its a real pain to try to get that plug back into the bottom, i bet the servo is your problem though.
