anybody know how do i place it back where it go's ,it popped out when i took my clutch bell off , but i did not see where it came from, ( tsunmia)

There should be a groove on the outside of the shoes for the spring to go in. However, if it just popped off then it's probably broken. You can either get a Traxxas spring for it (4146x I think) or bend out the last coil of the spring out to from a loop to hook the other end of the spring on.

does the spring go completely around the clutch shoes in the grove and hook to each other, one end of the spring to the other?

Yes it does.

its always a good idea to twist the ends of the spring in oposite directions a couple of turns so the loops stay locked into each other

It's also easier to make the loop THEN put your clutch shoes in the loop one at a time.
