Redcat no matter what site you go to it will always be shunned at. Just because its a cheaper chinese made product they think it will fall apart the first time you run it. What is the basis that they speak on? None of them probably have never owned one or even seen one. Do they know the 1/8 scale comes with a name brand SH engine? Probably not! The guys that talk crap about something they know nothing about is the guys you need to just stay away from because you will never convince them otherwise.

Would the OS .18 CV-RX be worth the extra $60 instead of the SH.18?

it more powerfull but 2x's the money, its up to you if you want to spend the extra $$, buy something first then worry about the upgrades after you try it out.

Yeah I know. I will guarantee that everyone who has seen this is annoyed at me because of all these posts. I was thinking that I would get a volcano and a 1/8 after a while. I thought I could ask for a 1/8 for Christmas and get the volcano later because the volcano is only 180 and the 1/8's are 250-300. I will get the monsoon if they come out with the cb's. Otherwise I think the hurricane would be my choice.

Ehroof, you now know why I wanted to get the 1/8 first. It would be cheaper. And after seeing vids of the avalanche. Well, let's just say this madness might be over.....maybe.

Are there any CB's for the avalanche?

I'm still stuck between the avalanche and the volcano. I am only thinking that the volcano may not have enough ground clearance. To get an idea of the size, how big are the tires on the volcano?

I sent them one before and they gave 4 dealers. Only one helped because it has the phone #. But the other 3, I'm clueless. I sent an email back a few weeks ago and I didn't get an answer. Maybe there was a problem with the email. They always answered before

I like 1/10 cars because they normally have more hop ups. I know of tons already that would improve a lot. I think if I clear up my track of all the stuff in the way (there's one root that's bugging me it's about 2.5in out of the ground and takes up the whole track) I should be good. How would this drive on a dirt track?

Ok just one more question (probably not,LOL), about the tuned pipe, if I had to gear it lower, would that get rid of the purpose of the pipe.

Would the Proline masher tires used in this post http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_63...tm.htm#6525892 give it better ride if I were to go over a rock or just driving on dirt. It looks awesome with those tires!

How would a Volcano EPX do compared to an electric stampede in terms of handling and torque and speed?

I am also thinking instead of this getting an FLM Chassis kit for my stampede. So many choices.

Get a Volcano first, I never had any major problems out of it. My biggest problem with it was lack of RC experience, LOCKTIGHT is key.... hindsight 20/20.... Lost a brake cam and had a leak at the exhaust manifold on my first run after brake in also lost a pullstart screw... Learned that one real quick. All else aside mine ran great on grass w/ a single speed (no mods) and runs great with my current setup (2spd trans,13/18 clutchbell, teflon clutch shoes, fuel filter, tuned pipe and some odds and ins) Performance Junkie at Heart!

I understand your situation with the money dilema, my wife gives me a budget at this point... LOL [:@]

GoodLuck with your decision, I have alot of fun with mine....

I would love a volcano. My only problem I may run into would be ground clearance. Most of my track is smooth dirt but some of it isn' as smooth.

I'm also looking at the HPI E-Firestorm. So many choices! http://www.hpiracing.com/products/en/10550.html If I get that I will eventually go brushless.
