If you are not going to be going on a track at all then I would get the Avalanche too. If you do plan on go to some tracks once in a while for fun then I would get the monsoon.

honestly, for bashing and for the money, not much out there can compare to the size, power and handleing of the avalanche, i have a tmaxx and its better, its more stable than a savage and bigger too. Unless you want to spend $500+ i would stick to the avalanche. The tmaxx and savage would be the next choice for bashing but in my opinion the avalanche is better.

and it depends if your serious hardcore basher. I have no clue what the avalanche can handle but i know i the savage is like one of the most durable bashers around. I wanna see an avalanche in a serious bashing video. Like one of the beaverstick guys videos to see what its capable of

I think you would have more problems with the tmaxx. I had one and constantly had to replace the driveshafts in it and some minor problems. I think the avalanche is alot beefier and will take alot more abuse and of course over 100 dollars cheaper which you can use to upgrade stuff on it and make it that much better. I think the avalanche will roll over a tmaxx! lol

Do not get a t-maxx!! I have learned the hard lesson on this one. I have personally gone through 4 of them 2 were just parts, they are not made for bashing one bit. The savage is far better and is a 1/8 scale verses the 1/10 the t-maxx is! The t-maxx make a great show truck and thats about it, which is all mine are now the two i have left. If you want someone for all around get a Truggy. They are great on the track and great for bashing. Check out the monsoon or avalanche like others have mentioned, if you want something that is good with a great price tag. Use the money you save and buy some parts or a good radio.

i dont peronally own a savage but just the construction is different. The avalanche is more durable in my opinion, less suspension showing so better chance of the thick aluminum on the chassis taking the brunt of the bashing then the susupension like the savage, its mostly all on the outside of the center chassis. This is just my opinion though, hands down its more bashable thant he tmaxx, i own one and know first hand, the tmaxx is a nice rc, i am not putting it down, we enjoy ours but as far as durability goes, i give it to the avalanche.

Another thing I do not like about the tmaxx is the 2 speed tranny. Just more stuff to break and also the reverse which always breaks. Don't have to worry about neither on the avalanche. Plus if you need power to clear big jumps then the avalanche would be the way to go. It would kill the tmaxx as far as acceleration and torque needed to do that. The tmaxx has a small block and the avalanche a big block.

You should be able to get that for the buggy as long as it looks like new. Xbox 360 is a great system for more technical games, plus the pric e is going down on them so that pretty good. I also have the WII and love it, it is a much different game play. Just bought the guitar hero 3, that is a awesome game and recommend it to everyone.
You just have to decide if you would rather have a video game system and have to pay 50.00 a game. Or an RC which can be cheaper in the long run, depending on how well you take care of it.

I had tons of goodies on my old ones as well, i went through all the aluminum parts, then moved to titanium parts and skids. Went back to plastics. Here is a picture of my maxx's, the one used to be just a show truck with all aluminum parts but pulled them off to sell, but never did. Just sold the aluminum parts i had left. The other is a main basher, same goes for the savage.
