Help with new Teflon Clutch Shoes?
Hey Everybody,
I am in the middle of installing a set of teflon clutch shoes in my 1/10 buggy. I noticed that the teflon shoes only have 1 hole each for the flywheel pins. This means that if I want to install the shoes so that they open in a trailing fashion, I have to put them on so that the groove for the clutch spring is on the opposite side of the shoes from the flywheel. On the aluminum clutches, when you mount the shoes correctly, the clutch spring groove is againsed the flywheel.
Does anyone understand what I mean, and will this cause any problems? Or is this simply how it needs to be done?
Thanks in advance,
Jim
