It's not sized or shot, it's supposed to be tight near the top that's how the engine makes compression. The batteries in the Reciever will last somewhere in the neighborhood of about 8 hours of ON time.

Read and print these out for future reference:

are you getting twitching? or just no power at all? Did you tape your batteries in? Are they loose? Also check to see if your crystal didn't come loose in the receiver. Just giving you some ideas. Its hard to check when not looking at it in person lol.. We will get it.

You also could be flooding it. Take out the plug, and pull it a few times. That will get the fuel out if it is hard to pull.

Hello Sir,

I've had my engine do that lots of times and I think I know what you're talking about. You mean when you start to pull the starter and then all of a sudden it pulls back so hard that it feels like you might break the string??? My engine does that all the time especially when I'm starting it for the first time in a day. That's a pre ignition, and if it happens on startup like that from time to time on a single stroke it's not too big a deal especially if you can get used to gripping the pull starter so that when it happens it slips out of your fingers instead of breaking the string or putting too much strain on the connecting rod and it's bearings. You wouldn't want sustained pre ignition because that can cause lots of engine damage.

It's a strange feeling when that happens. It's like someone grabbed the crankshaft all of a sudden with a vice grip! On the bright side, it means the engine's fireing and will probably come screaming to life on the very next pull!!!

Have fun with it,

Jim

check the batteries and the connections on the reciever, make sure the plugs are in and check the crystal in the transmitter and reciever like clermont said. also try new batteries in the car and transmitter.

Hello Sir,

Yes, carefully look over your reciever and make sure everything is plugged in snugly and the sockets are free of dirt and debris. Your car looks like it's doing what my car did when I tried to get away with using some slightly weak batteries in the reciever.

A good way of checking the condition of your reciever batteries is to use your remote to apply your brakes and then while applying them, steer side to side and pay attention to how swiftly your steering servo moves. If it's sluggish or if it starts to twitch, then your reciver batteries are weak.

Thanks,

Jim

I had this same problem I checked the connections first then replaced the rx bateries and that fixed the problem. If that doesn't work for you you might be getting interferance but my bet is on the batteries put some in it fresh from the package. Hope this helps
