Default pipe/header coupling

hey guys, just received a tuned pipe and a round header from redcat today. i have the header on but for some reason the rubber coupler isn't long enough to connect the header to the pipe. is there a different coupler i should have? also, inside the coupler there was a little rubber insert in there, it tore a little when i pulled it out. what does this do and am i supposed to reuse it? thanks!

you dont need a longer coupler, you just need to move the pipe holder up some more. Just drill a hole closer so the pipe can reach.
