Default Redcat Volcano help

Hello,

I'm in Dublin (Ireland) and recently bought a Redcat Vocano (called a Wind Hobby Behemoth over here) It has been running great since I broke the engine in a week or so ago but have only used 2 tanks since then. I always use after run oil after each use and run the tank dry before storing, also air filter cleaned and oiled after every run.

I took the car out over the weekend and when accelerating it seemed to hesitate a bit or stall. I have kept the carb to the factory (rich) settings so far. Anyway, took the truck inside and tried to adjust the low end mixture slightly to stop the hesitation when accelerating. Now when I try to start the car (prime the carb etc) it just starts for 2 seconds then stalls!

I set the carb back to factory settings - High end mixture - 2.5 turns out, 1mm space for idle, and low end mixture flush with collar. But still no luck, I have charged my glow starter and tried different glow plugs but it's still the same!

Can you guys help at all, as I'm at my wit's end and my fingers are bleeding!![:@][&o]

Also, I noticed that when I take the air filter off and open and release the throttle (engine not running), it doesn't seem to return to the idle position again I have to apply the brake to get it back to the idle position- is this normal when the engine isn't running or could this be the issue?

First try this, screw in your low end needle 1 and a half turns and see where it go's from there, if that dont work put it back where you had it and change the glow plug # OS 3.

This is how the linkage should look on it, going to the carb

I just checked my setting on my motor and the high needle is 3 and a quarter turns out and the low end needle is 2 and a half turns out, set yours to that and see if it goes.

Sounds like the throttle servo is bitting the dust if it isn't returning.

You might not have the throttle linkage arm and servo hook up correctly, sound like linkage could be set too far back. When you give it gas does the carb over go too far as in bending the linkage slightly?
