Does anybody know of some good replacement shocks for the Avalanche? I do a little bit of jumping, nothing major, but want a little stiffer suspension.

the clutch springs, and shoes are standard , cen , ofna, hpi. But the clutchbell on the avalanche is the avalanche clutchbell only.

what's a good exhaust upgrade for the avalanche, one for bottom end and one for mid to high end. also whats the best diff oils recomended for off road racing and then oval racing if there's a difference. I've read what's on this web page but still a little confused on what to use. I guess I'm not the brightest bulb in the fixture and theres not a hobby shop with in 100 miles from where I live to ask

I''ve gone through 2 of the HiTech HS645 units in the last couple of months. I suspect my servo saver still needs some refinement. Anybody have any suggestions of where the saver needs to be? The first one that broke I had the servo saver locked out, so it made since. The second one that broke I had the saver set and about 1/4 from being locked out and the dang thing still broke! If I loosen it up too much I may not have good steering. It may be one of those things I just have to play with, but since many of you may run the HiTech servos I thought you might have a good spot to start.

The Hobby Shop guys told me the servo is under warranty, and all I have to do is send it back with my receipt. You can also send them in for repair. I''ve lost the receipt to the 1st one, but I''m going to give the repair thing a whirl.

well i wanted to throw something out there.

i've been reading tons of threads, but not found the answers i was looking for.

1. the fm radio was recalled, but what do the replacements look like? is it worth the am if you have not had the glitch yet?
2. the roto starts? i want to start it with something else then pulling the cord. what are good roto start for the avalanche sh.28 and the hurricane .21 i have?
3. i'm trying to figure the setting, i'm in florida and weather changes from 80 to 60 at night.... i am used to the two needle and this three needle instruction kinda hard to follow and alot of the videos i found were hpi two needle helpt to set the engine.. how far out do you set each need to start the adjustment a qaurter turn down, and what sign to worry about to quickly adjust the engine to not kill it?

i appreciate it.

If something isn't broke then don't try and fix it..............If your radio goes bad just get a good after market like [link=http://xtm-dealer.com/zencart/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=14&products_id=203&zenid=89d92621b5070bd924f75e85796375c6]This[/link] and the [link=http://xtm-dealer.com/zencart/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=13&products_id=180]Sure Start[/link] works very well on your model. If you want some pics let me know. [:-]

Go to the SH engine site and down load the instruction they work very well with SH engines

how far out do you set to start the turn down?
which on a three needle do you start with first? any special sequence
thanks

[:@] well i am very aggravated...

ok the truck runs-kicks over, hit the gas instant stall...
so i reset the hsn to 3 because where it was at almost only 1 and 1/2.... so made the lsn to flush and then started to lean the hsn out.... almost back to the 1.5 again.. to run at 10mph? and stall...

so i adjusted the lsn to try to keep it running. screw it in... the thing barely kicks over for me... have two serious torn blisters to show my efforts here...
so i tried to start over again 7 times.... the hsn really gets leaned out before you can hit the gas to go and at 10-12 mph... does not seem to rev high. the truck is loud like a weed eater loud(i.m used tot he stampede.. hpi mt). yes lots of smoke running rich....

so i'd love some help here. my last question has been along time not answered. someoone told me that not to post on more than one thread, but still no answers.

very fustrated. it was broken in already by someone else.
so what am i missing. never had this difficulty before. thats whats fustrating. even the freaking chinese 99 dolar one ran fantastic out of the box. untill you loo for parts to match.

please help with previous posting too.

This RCU shuts me off to fast to answer....................if its an instant stall its to rich...............find the factory setting for the LSN and leave it alone, do all the adjustments with the HSN and the idle screw [:@] if its a transmitter from Redcat through it away and start all over [&o]

ok i'd love to look it up. what does sh stand for or what do i look it up to check that out.

i know it's too rich, so i tried to just adjust it with the hsn, but one and half total turns out is too lean.
so i tried to adjust the lsn down and it would barely start and run with it.
the idle screw is the screw that has the 1mm gap you want? that looks fine.

ok i am an idiot... after reading this some http://www.happysale.dk/images/SH28.pdf

i have come to realize the idle stop screw is under the hsn and the lsn is the screw that is at the end of the slide carb?

i've been messing with the idle stop screw, hence i turn it and it barely starts and runs.....

i am soo aggravated with this and my self....
