There are 2 holes in the steering plate that should have 2 sets of bushings that help make it turn easier without any binding.

One bushing fits inside the other but opposite of each other.

That goes inside the pullstart. That keeps the shaft from sliding back.

I'd like to know what the steering plate fix is to. I have done twomanytoys bump stops recommendation and it helps but I have gone through 3 plates already. I dont really want to have to buy another...

Cheeba are you still bending plates? You can grind down tehb plate where it hits the diff that way the stops will stop the steering and not the plate.

Do you think that I should replace the plate before I grind it down since it has been bent back twice?

probably, it can get weak once it bends but even weaker once you bend it straight again, especially after a couple of bends.

Get the upgraded plate and grind it down and with the stops it wont bend again. I have done this with perfect results but just have not added it to my steering mod post as of yet. I need to take some pics of the plate grinded down and better pics of the stops. With both these mods you should not have any more problems.

You can try it with the old plate that you already have so you know how much to take off. You want the stops to hit the a arm and still have a tiny bit of room before the plate hits the diff case. Or if you are real precise the plate will hit the case the same time the stops hit the a arm so the stops dont take all the force of a bad landing.

i would think they would fit, the avalanche is almost the same as the hurricane and that is an almost perfect duplicate of the kyosho and alot of parts are interchangable
