Default RE: redcat advice

Hey I just wanna say the tornado is a good buy but, I remmember a few months ago I was looking at getting my first nitro r/c and was considering the tornado. I posted a thread on this forum asking for advice and many of the vetrans on here suggested I spend a few more bucks to get the hurricane 1/8 scale. Not that the tornado isn't a good buggy but the hurricane is such a huge step up in durability and performance and scale. At the same time consider your intended use for the buggy also. If you are running in your back yard the tornado will be not get around nearly as well as the hurricane, which has enough power to mow your lawn. xD If racing is what you are thinking though, maybe see what is popular at your local track and see what their rules are as far as engine size etc. I guess what ever you choose also consider support cause you're gonna need it at some point, but if you get a redcat don't plan on much local hobby store help. But on this forum Redcat has huge support resources. Bottom line is the getting the right buggy for you to have the most enjoyment, that is the most important thing so don't let $ decide for you either. Save some $ and get what you really want if you need to.
