Default Problems

I am having an issue with my Tornado BB I just bought. When I first got it started, it wanted to take off right away. When I leave the trigger in the neutral position it wants to drive forward. In order to get it to stop, I have to push the trigger foward(reverse), but I have no reverse. Now I can't get the car to stay running. Can anyone help me?

I have done both. I can't adjust the idle screw anymore, or it will come out. I have turned the trim about halfway back and it still does it. I will try to turn it all the way back and see what happens.

Thanks guys

ok here is an update.I have gotten it to idle better, but, when I try to get it down enough so it doesn't try to move at all, it dies? Also, when I try to go in reverse it dies. What is the deal?

will it idle off the ground, put it on a block of wood, start it and see if it will start and idle, if it will idle, its the clutch spring.

So I take it that if it is the clutch spring, I will have to replace that?

that video was perfect. I will have to check that out and see if that is the issue. What about my reverse problem? Everytime I try to push the trigger foward to go in reverse, it dies.

you need to turn the idle screw clockwise until the carb stays open, whats happening is the carb is closing when you hit the brakes.

it may also be dying because the spring is no good. See if the carb closes when you hit the brake.

That is what I was going to ask. I have gotten the idle problem fixed, so now if I tighten that screw I should be good right?

ok, I was just out running it, and the only issue I seem to have is that when I give it 1/2 throttle or more from a stand still it wants to bog out and die. What do I need to adjust to get this done? Do I need to adjust the low end or the high end?
