BRAKES ALWAYS ON HELP!!!!!!!!

Default BRAKES ALWAYS ON HELP!!!!!!!!

It is a redcat racing lightning vx nitro car and it was bought about 3 weeks ago. It idles and revs but the wheels refuse to move

Is anything stuck in the transmission? Wheels too tight?

can you roll it foreward or backwards by hand? is it any different with the brake applied and with full thottle? do this with the car not running put the power on.

ehroof, there is very little difference. With full throttle the front wheels can be spun but there is a lot of resistance and I don't want to further damage it.With brake it won't budge at all

you might have the mesh on your gears set way to tight.

i agree, sounds like the mesh of the gears is too tight, i would suggest to take the engine out and see if its better or just loosen the engine using the 4 screws on the bottom and slide the engine away and see if its better, if so, re set the mesh a little looser.

Or the little lever that controls the brakes could be adjusted to much, unscrew the black adjuster thats connected to the tranny.

they used to be $99, now there $139, you may be able to find them cheaper than $139, if you want a good place to order it, i would suggest clermontmotorsports.com , if its not on his site, just drop him an email for a price

i have found some for $129 at a few places. just google redcat shockwave.
