or at the start of your video write on a piece of paper redcat contest and the date. then pan and start shooting your car.lol (Ehroof, would that work?)

Nope, See, I dont wanna sound like a jack arse here but.. the majority of the people who buys these cars.. dont have alot of money in the first place, And for these contest you need a video camera and a video editing prog, and that stuff aint cheap. I know it helps for getting the Redcat name out there showing people that they are a great RC.. but when only 5 or so people enter a contest it aint much competition...

i know where you coming from, i just dont want people to use the redcat video's we make, if you want i will make it redcat racing video and picture contest, just have to put redcat racing somewhere in the picture, you can do this with ms paint, lol. this way everyone is happy, just put a small REDCATRACING in one of the corners.

ahh ehroof always understands! lol.. Like I can get ahold of a vid cam and send you or someone the vid to make a title yes, which is great. but just want to see everyone have some fun with this, Just set them in 2 different contest Vid/Pics with different catagories.. i.e... best video action and then a best picture action snap shot. And say that if you post a vid for the video contest.. then you can't post a pic and vise versa..

maybe we will do the best action picture this month and best video next month or combine the 2, 2 contest every month is too much to deal with and i dont know if you can combine them since video's would probably beat out pictures every time.

I like the ideas of having a photo contest and a video contest. I think the whole idea of only being able to compete in one is good too.

But how about Best Still Photo WITH a CAPTION. Gotta have a Caption (preferably a WITTY/funny caption.).Then Judge the Combination.
That would include our video handicapped friends, and should be good for a few Laughs.....

I think a bashing contest would be the best, cause correct me if i am wrong, but bashing includes jumping, flipping, and breaking stuff right? Which is what everyone is listing as a contest.
Also you can get pretty cheap digital cameras these days that have the video function on them. Here are a couple that record MPEG-4. This is just the best buy website, i have ordered at camcorder from geeks.com for about $120. So they have some cheap stuff on there, some of it is referbished. See there is the same one on geeks for $20 cheaper cause it is used but it would work for what you are using it for.
